Nipissing First Nation Receives a Donation of Wood from Young Forestry Services for NFN Members.

May 17, 2023 (Update) – Miigwech to Young Forestry Services for their donation of wood for NFN members. The supply of wood is now depleted.

March 8, 2023 – NFN received a donation of wood from Young Forestry Services to distribute to NFN members. To accommodate as many members as possible, we will distribute one-time only per household and make available on a first-come first served basis as supply is limited. Wood will be available for pick up as follows:

Residential heating – 1 pick up truck load (One Face Cord) 4′ high x 8′ long x 16″ deep

General Use – ½ pick up truck (Half a Face Cord) 4′ high x 4′ long x 16″ deep

NFN is only responsible to monitor and distribute the wood supply. Anyone wishing to receive wood must have their own vehicle to pick up wood and must load own wood.

Wood is located at the Public Works Yard in Garden Village.
Pick up is during business hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Please note that the Public Works Yard is closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

If you wish to pick up wood, please contact Sarah at the Public Works Department to register and also be granted access to the Public Works Yard: 705-753-4167
