Giyak Moseng – The Right Path Counselling & Prevention Services

Giyak Moseng (The Right Path) is a community based voluntary service offering mental health and addictions services including prevention and promotion activities to support wellness.  Giyak Moseng strives to offer professional, culturally safe, trauma-informed services which integrates Indigenous and mainstream practices through a holistic life perspective. Individual, couple and family counselling are available including alcohol/drug/gambling assessment and referral for treatment

Counselling services extend across the life span and are staffed by a clinical team to support children, youth and adult referrals.

** For child and youth referrals (up to age 18 years) services extend to 8 partnering communities.  These are:  Dokis, Temagami, Henvey Inlet, Magnetewan, Shawanaga, Wahnapitae and Wasauksing First Nations)

A wellness program and activities are offered throughout the calendar year.  This may also include any groups, training and workshops/presentations and events.
