Environmental Lot Inspections

The Nipissing First Nation Environment Department would like to inform all members and lessees that NFN crews will conduct roadside inspections of residential and leased lots to identify unnecessary junk and materials that may pose environmental risks to our waters, air, and lands. Roadside inspections will help us understand and track the environmental condition of lots so we can work with members and lessees to address any issues before they become bigger problems.

Inspection Dates:
Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, 2026

During this time, crews will:

  • Observe properties from the roadside only
  • Identify potential environmental concerns
  • Take GPS locations and photographs as part of a preliminary assessment process

This initiative is an important step to protect the health of our environment and build a cleaner, safer community for everyone.

These patrols are the first of a series of environmental investigations aimed at addressing potential threats to our community’s groundwater, air, and lands.

If you have concerns about junk, garbage, or unwanted materials on your property or elsewhere in the community, please contact (calls can be made anonymously):
