The Nipissing‑Miller Limited Partnership is pleased to invite applications for the 2026-2027 Student Bursary Program. Two bursaries of $1,000 each are available this year, open to both graduating secondary school students and post‑secondary Nipissing First Nation students.
Building on the success of the Partnership’s first bursaries awarded in 2025, this program continues to support NFN youth, strengthen the local workforce, and inspire the next generation of builders, makers, and innovators.
The bursary supports students pursuing studies in a trade‑related field, including skilled trades, apprenticeship programs, construction, engineering technology, heavy equipment, environmental services, business management, accounting/finance, or related areas.
In 2025, bursaries were awarded to Talon‑River Beaucage, who is completing an apprenticeship with Iron Workers Union Local 786 while working toward his Red Seal Iron Worker and Welding Certification, and Rylan Fisher, who is enrolled in the Mining Engineering Program at Laurentian University.
The Nipissing‑Miller Partnership remains committed to creating opportunities for local youth and investing in education and workforce development within Nipissing First Nation.
Applications for the 2026–2027 Student Bursary Program are now open. The deadline to apply is June 10, 2026.
