April 18, 2025 – The Ministry of Natural Resources – North Bay District is warning residents that a Watershed Conditions Statement – Flood Outlook is in effect until Friday, April 25, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
The statement is in place due to the potential for flooding. This means that heavy rain, snowmelt, and other conditions could lead to flooding in certain areas. We urge residents to stay alert, especially around lakes, rivers, and streams, and be cautious of dangerous conditions. Keep children and pets away from water, and stay informed as the weather changes.
Low-pressure systems will bring significant rain to the district Thursday and Friday, with more possible during thunderstorms. With frozen or saturated ground and ongoing snowmelt, localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible, though widespread flooding is not expected.
