NFN residents are invited to attend this community information session about the Soil Remediation Project (tailings from former Nova Beaucage mill).
Work resumed in April 2024 in preparation to remove niobium ore tailings from the former Nova Beaucage mill site, which operated in Yellek in 1956. The tailings, initially deposited at the mill site and a nearby borrow pit, were later used for road construction and as fill at local residences. These sites were identified during initial investigations and are included in the remediation plan.
Members of the project team and technical staff will be in attendance to provide more information and
answer questions from community members.
