Wednesday, April 10, 2024 – Nipissing First Nation’s Department of Lands, Environment, and Natural Resources has secured funding to install a fish waste/compost site located off Mooz Miikan.
The intent is for fishers to dispose of fish waste during the open season at this new site to reduce the dumping of fish waste at undesirable locations.
The fish waste/compost site is for NFN members only. The site will be monitored using cameras to ensure this rule is upheld and to ensure no unauthorized items are discarded. Miigwech for your cooperation.
