June 22, 2023, 4:00 p.m. – The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory issued for Garden Village is now lifted. Two consecutive samples were tested and came back with acceptable results.
June 21, 2023 – Repairs have been completed and the first of the two samples has been taken. Once we receive the test results, we will update to ensure safe drinking water to the community.
June 20, 2023, 2:00 p.m. – The Water Treatment Plant will be completely shut down at 2:10 p.m. for approximately an hour while the team works on repairs. If samples come back with acceptable results, we are hopeful that the precautionary boil water advisory could be lifted on Thursday, June 22.
June 20, 2023 – The Water Treatment Plant Operators have informed us that a loss in pressure has occurred. As per the latest edition of the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality, a precautionary boil water advisory is in effect until such time that two consecutive samples can be taken and tested with acceptable results.
This Precautionary Boil Water Advisory is effective immediately and will remain until the results of further water samples indicate that the water is safe to drink.

What to do during a Boil Water Advisory
Bring your tap water to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before you:
- drink the water
- use the water for other purposes, such as to:
- cook
- feed pets
- brush their teeth
- make soups or ice cubes
- wash fruits and vegetables
- make infant formula or other drinks
