NFN Members and Affiliates are invited to learn about the Springer Rare Earth Elements & Gallium Deposit Exploration Project in Springer Township.
NFN is working with Volta Metals to ensure the project is developed in a way that respects our lands, protects the environment, and creates real benefits for members.
The project is part of a growing demand for critical minerals, including rare earth elements and gallium, which are essential for technologies like electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and electronics.
Springer REE & Gallium Deposit Exploration Project (Springer Project) is North America’s 7th largest Rare Earth Deposit located in Springer Township, approximately 7km north of Sturgeon Falls The Springer Project is accessible from Highway 64 and historic trails connecting the southern limit with Burnt Lake Road and the northern limit with the Hydro One Transmission line corridor. The Springer Project location is presented in this figure.

This Volta Metals Community Engagement Session will provide information related to the past and present exploration program which includes additional diamond drilling, on-going baseline environmental surveys, on-going work to evaluate the economics of the mineral deposit and typical steps for companies to develop a mine in Ontario.
