Seasonal Updates – Public Works Department

Monday, March 17, 2025 – We know the weather’s been making our gravel roads a little more “adventure-ready” than usual!

Last week, we brought in loads of gravel to Jocko Point and completed grading work, which will continue this week. We have also started cold patching potholes and will continue this week as well. We are prepping our grader for work to begin in Yellek tomorrow, and will make our way back toward Garden Village, covering Beaucage/Margaret Drive, Jocko Point, Veteran’s Lane, Sweet Grass, and finishing up at Ted Commanda Drive.

In addition to grading, Public Works will continue steaming culverts to ensure they remain clear and functional. We’re also aware that some culverts are in poor condition and may need pumps to transfer water, so we are fully prepared to handle that as needed.

We monitor road conditions regularly during garbage runs and drive-arounds, reporting any issues back to the team. However, if you spot something we might have missed, please don’t hesitate to call Public Works: 705-753-4167. We’ll send someone out to investigate and take care of it.

Stay safe and keep us posted if you notice anything!
