Post-Majority Support Services

Post-Majority Support Services provides voluntary, wrap-around support for Nipissing First Nation youth 14 and older, as well as young adults up to 25 who are transitioning out of care or have already done so. Our goal is to help you thrive in your transition to adulthood.

Supports Available:

  • Housing & food security
  • Employment & financial stability
  • Mental health & wellness   
  • Addiction supports  
  • Healthy relationships

To qualify for the Post Majority Support Service program, the following are required:  

  • Must be a NFN band member  
  • Are between the ages of 14-25 years  
  • Extended society care (society ward)       
  • Guardianship   
  • Custody  
  • Alternate care   
  • Kinship care   
  • Volunteer Youth Service Agreement (VYSA)   

We will support the safety and well-being of the Nipissing First Nation youth & young adults in an approach that is culturally appropriate to assist them to thrive in their transition to adulthood.
