To keep Nipissing Nishnaabemwin alive, we must make time to speak and understand it. Learning and practicing our language is a sacred responsibility—to honour our ancestors and empower the next seven generations. Language lives when we choose to use it.
This month, learners will build confidence using Nipissing Nishnaabemwin in everyday topics like food and eating. Guest speakers will also help deepen understanding—supporting language revitalization for future generations.
Garden Village classes will now be held Monday nights at the Culture Centre, and Duchesnay classes will continue on Wednesdays.
Online sessions are currently on pause and are expected to resume in the new year.
