Nipissing First Nation’s True Self – Debwewendizwin program will end its outreach services contract with the Nipissing District Social Services Administration Board effective June 1, 2026.
This decision allows us to focus our services more directly on NFN members and make sure our work reflects our vision, mission, and community priorities.
Our North Bay office on Main Street will close and our team members will continue their important work from a temporary office on-reserve and at our new Neyaashing Mshkikiiwan Land-Based Wellness Camp in Jocko Point. This change helps us meet our members where they are, both geographically and in their healing journey.
NFN will continue to offer the same outreach services, with a focus on supporting our members both on- and off-reserve. When needed, we will continue to provide referrals for non-members.
NFN remains committed to building strong, culturally grounded services that support healing, wellness, and connection to land and community. We will continue to keep members informed as this transition moves forward.
