Tuesday, February 6, 2024 – Nipissing First Nation wishes to extend a heartfelt chi-miigwech to Natalie Payette-Chevrier and Doug Chevrier, owners of Eagle’s Nest Gas Bar, Golden Harvest, and Mukwa Studios, for their generous donation of $12,500 to the Ojibway Women’s Lodge.
Their donation will make an impactful contribution to OWL’s programs in many ways, including outreach cultural programming for women and families, supporting women and families during holiday seasons, supporting children going back to school, and assisting with certain expenses not covered by regular funding.
The staff at the Ojibway Women’s Lodge, alongside Nipissing First Nation, greatly appreciates this donation, kindly accepted by Melissa Stevens (Acting Supervisor) and Brooklyn Penasse (Outreach and Crisis Support Worker).
