Thursday, August 15, 2024 – In addition to the new Elders’ Lodges in Garden Village and Duchesnay, Nipissing First Nation has partnered with Cassellholme to secure designated First Nation beds, with a priority to NFN members.
These beds are part of Cassellholme’s new build, with 16 private rooms located within a designated unit named Cedar. We would like to prepare in advance of the opening to ensure an easy transition for our members.
Those 55+ who are currently on a waiting list for long-term care or who reside in a long-term care facility away from NFN are encouraged to contact the Lawrence Commanda Health Centre to discuss the Cassellholme project.
NFN is not collecting applications for the Cassellholme project; we are trying to determine which members are already on a long-term care waitlist in the province.
Please note, this is not part of NFN’s Assisted Living Project.
