The Public Works Department will flush hydrants in Garden Village from October 21 to 30, 2025.
During this time, residents hooked-up to the water system may notice low water pressure or discoloured water (brown or yellow). This is normal and not a health risk.
Hydrant flushing helps keep our water clean and makes sure hydrants work properly in case of an emergency.
What to do if your water looks discoloured:
- Run your cold water tap for 3-5 minutes.
- If the water is still discoloured, wait 30 minutes and run it again.
- The water should clear up shortly.
