July 11, 2023 – The Fire Ban within the boundaries of Nipissing First Nation Lands is now lifted as of 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
June 1, 2023 – A complete Fire Ban within the boundaries of Nipissing First Nation Lands is in effect until further notice. This Fire Ban is to ALL outdoor fires with exception to BBQ’s and Gas Fire Appliances (Propane and Natural Gas Fire Devices).
Should people wish to use the gas fire pits and BBQs, they are to be used with EXTREME CAUTION and not be left unattended.
People should also be aware of the penalties for not following the Fire Ban and there can be costs associated with the extinguishment of an open fire.
