Learn about the Wellness Camp
True Self Debwewendizwin is creating a land-based wellness camp to support healing through culture, land, and community. This camp will offer traditional activities like harvesting, ceremony, recreation, and culturally-based counselling.
Our peer-led team includes trained staff with lived experience who help participants build trust, find connection, and grow in a supportive environment.
This camp is a healing space, not a place for substance use. We will maintain strict policies to protect participants, staff, and nearby residents.
- No drugs or alcohol are allowed at the camp
- We screen all participants to ensure they are ready and committed to healing
- Staff will be on site 24/7 to ensure safety and support
We plan to run 8-12 week camp cycles, followed by Stepping Stone Housing. When camps are not taking place, the site will be available for other community uses.
