Tuesday, July 16, 2024 – Private residents must get approval from Nipissing First Nation’s Public Works Department for any new building connections to any infrastructure of Nipissing First Nation and the building that requires connection must meet the Ontario Building Code or National building code and associated standards (e.g. CAN/CSA Z240 MH).
All connections to the infrastructure are to be carried out by the Public Works Department, and require the approval of Steve Doucette, Director of Community Infrastructure & Planning.
Any person who conducts unauthorized connections can be fined up to $10,000 and charged with mischief under the Criminal Code of Canada, plus the cost to restore the infrastructure to its original state.
