Lake Nipissing Community Information Session @ Duchesnay Community Hall

Join us for an informative community event focused on ongoing aquatic projects in our territory. Hear presentations from the NFN Environment Department, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, and Nipissing University as they share updates on current aquatic research and initiatives. Enjoy a catered traditional meal and attendees will have a chance to win prizes. Family Ice Fishing @ Lake Nipissing

Bundle up and join us for a full day of ice fishing with NFN Families and Affiliates—a chance to spend time on the land, share laughs, and enjoy a classic winter experience together. Families are welcome, with children 18 and under accompanied by a parent or guardian. The day begins with transportation to our meeting location at 1059 Birchgrove Dr., W in Callander, followed by an Ice Shuttle ride out to the ice shacks.

Be sure to bring your own lunch and dress warmly, as the ice shacks will be there for storing gear and warming up throughout the day. Each participant will have their own fishing hole, with 41 spots available per day, and everyone will receive a free ice-fishing kit complete with a rod, tip-up, bucket seat, scoop, accessories, and minnows—though you’re welcome to bring your own equipment or snow machine as well.

Space is limited and registration is required. To register, email [email protected] or call 705-753-3312 by Friday, February 13, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Participants will be chosen by random draw and notified by Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
