Cor Maximus Movement and Fall Prevention Program @ Cor Maximus

The Cor Maximus Movement & Fall Prevention Program is offering a FREE 12-week program for NFN Members & Affiliates aged 55+ to help improve strength, balance, and overall wellness while reducing the risk of falls.
This program is designed to support independence by improving mobility, flexibility, and strength—helping participants stay active and energized.
Program Details
  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Class Options:
    • Tuesdays, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Starting April 7)
    • Thursdays, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. (Starting April 9)
  • Capacity: 10 participants per class (20 total)

  • Take-home kits and resources
  • Wellness basket prize draw at the end of the program (one per class)
What to Bring
  • Comfortable clothing and indoor shoes suitable for exercise

Wellness Camp Opening Ceremony @ Wellness Camp

NFN Members and Affiliates are warmly invited to attend the upcoming Wellness Camp Opening Ceremony on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at 2013 Jocko Point Road, North Bay.

This special gathering offers an opportunity for community members to visit and experience the camp before it closes to the public for its upcoming 90-day program. During this time, the camp team will support participants in a private and respectful environment.

Please dress appropriately for the weather, as the event will take place outdoors and you will need to walk to the camp area.

We invite you to join us as we mark the opening of this important wellness initiative and learn more about the space that will soon support healing, growth, and well-being in our community.

NFN Members and Affiliates are invited to learn about the Springer Rare Earth Elements & Gallium Deposit Exploration Project in Springer Township.
NFN is working with Volta Metals to ensure the project is developed in a way that respects our lands, protects the environment, and creates real benefits for members.
The project is part of a growing demand for critical minerals, including rare earth elements and gallium, which are essential for technologies like electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and electronics.
If you cannot attend in person, a livestream link will be available in the NFN Portal for members to listen and participate in the session.
Registration is encouraged to help with food planning.

Building Baby Bonds: Supporting Early Emotional Connections @ Holy Spirit Church Basement

NFN families who are expecting, or have babies and young children, are invited to join us for a meaningful session focused on infant mental health and attachment.

Learn how babies develop emotionally, socially, and cognitively through their earliest relationships—especially with caregivers. These early connections play an important role in shaping how children understand themselves, others, and the world around them.

This session will provide helpful information, guidance, and support for building strong, healthy bonds with your child from the very beginning.
