Babysitting Course for Youth Ages 11-15

Are you between the ages of 11 and 15 and interested in learning how to become a confident, responsible, and successful babysitter? Join us for a one-day Babysitting Course on Monday, June 9 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the LCHC Boardroom.

With only 15 spots available, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain essential skills, build leadership, and prepare for real babysitting experiences — all in a fun and supportive environment.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Safety First: Learn important safety rules to protect yourself and the children in your care.
  • Responding to Emergencies: From minor bumps to major incidents, you’ll be ready to act.
  • Leadership Development: Build the confidence and skills you need to lead in any babysitting situation.
  • Caring for Children: Discover how to care for infants, toddlers, and school-aged kids, including:
    Preparing healthy meals
    Safe playtime activities
    Diaper changing
    Bedtime routines
    And much more

    Learn how to respond to different behaviours in a calm and effective way

    First Aid & Emergency Response:

  • Burns, poisoning, and other emergencies
