Update (Thursday, February 29, 2024) – The gate at Mooz Miikan is locked and will remain locked until the end of March 2024, while Nipissing Miller installs the new bridge.
Road work and culvert replacements have been completed.
Monday, December 18, 2023 – Beginning in early January 2024, Nipissing Miller will conduct improvement works on sections of Mooz Miikan as part of Defence Construction Canada. These improvements include a new bridge, as well as replacement of a number of culverts.
Sections of the road may be impassible during these improvements and alternate access is Little Sturgeon River Road. The map below shows the scope and location of the work.
This work is projected to be complete by April 2024.
