Indigenous women have the right to receive culturally sensitive, traditional services to assist them and their children. Everyone should be able to live without fear of physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, verbal or elder abuse. Abuse of any kind is wrong.
Healing in a supportive community, where acceptance and understanding are evident is an important part of moving forward.
We believe public education and awareness are key elements in ending the cycle of abuse.
The Ojibway Women’s Lodge respects the diverse needs of all women including non-Indigenous, women of other cultures and women with disabilities.
